Yesterday I watched a video of the life’s story and testimony of an incredible man. He is an Australian preacher and motivational speaker. He was born on 4 December 1982 in Australia. Aside from being a preacher he is also a real estate investor and stock market investor. He likes to swim and how such he loves beaches. He wrote a very inspiring book “Life Without Limits”. Everyone must have read this and what makes him amazing..? He has talent and capabilities and able to do the things we do even without arms and legs. Nick Vujicic is the most amazing man in the world.

Nick has truly touched my heart as I listened to his testimony. God is so wonderful and is so good that despite Nick’s physical disability he made him into an extraordinary. There are a lot of people today having arms and legs when hard circumstances come, easily give up and they sometimes forget God. Happiness in the Lord is the greatest fulfillment to experience in your life. Everything has a reason and purpose why God allowed it. God knows what plan he has for each of us.

What a challenge and an inspiration he gives to the world in, not only preaching the gospel and inspiring humans but showing the gospel as well.!

Perhaps true love is a decision. You know, a decision to take a chance with somebody. To give to somebody. Without worrying whether they’ll give anything back. Or if they’re gonna hurt you, or if they really are the one. Maybe love isn’t something that happens to you. Maybe it’s something you have to choose.

And, so while this is completely against my beliefs, I’m gonna let myself fall in love with you, even though I have experienced pain before, I guess I have to take that chance, I mean if I didn’t, I would probably just give up on love altogether, and that has to be the saddest thing ever, so here I go again, I’m just praying this time, my heart won’t end up breaking all over again. But i know it’ll be worth it.

“It’s impossible.” said pride.
“It’s risky.” said experience.
“It’s pointless.” said reason.
“Give it a try.” whispered the heart.”

Just by looking at the title solely, you would never understand its true meaning. “I Kissed Dating Goodbye” is a challenging and encouraging book written by Joshua Harris. This book shows what it means to entrust your lovelife to God. It isn’t really about dating at all. It’s a book about following Christ and what that means for all of our relationships with others- whether romantic or not.

I am so thankful to one of my colleagues who gave me the chance to read this very interesting book. I just wanted to share some of Josh’s encouraging write up.

Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things..” though the advice of many well-meaning people today is to “follow your heart”, the Bible warns that your heart can lead you in wrong, even deadly directions. Our hearts lie. Something can feel right and be completely wrong….

Any season of singleness is a gift from God.
Intimacy costs commitment
One is not better than another; each season yields its own unique treasures.
The right thing at the wrong time is the wrong thing.
The joy of intimacy is the reward of commitment
Building well sometimes means first tearing down.
The path you take with your feet should never contradict the conviction of your heart.
Living a pure life before God requires the teamwork of your heart and your feet.
Romantic passion is sweetest when its growing out of a relationship that’s deepening in devotion.
Intimacy without commitment, like icing without cake, can be sweet, but it ends up making us sick.
The best relationships are between two people who care more about each other‘s good than their own momentary pleasure.
A relationship based solely on physical attraction and romantic feelings will last only as long as the feelings last.
True love expresses in obedience to God and service to others – not reckless or selfish behavior.
Just because something is good doesn’t mean we should pursue it right now. We have to remember that the right thing at the wrong time is the wrong thing.
Just because lips have met doesn’t mean hearts have joined. And just because two bodies are drawn to each other doesn’t mean two people are right for each other. A physical relationship doesn’t equal love.
True love isn’t just expressed in passionately whispered words or intimate kiss or an embrace; before two people are married, love is expressed in self-control, patience even words left unsaid.
True love waits, but not just for sex. It waits for the right time to commit to God’s brand of love- unwavering, unflagging and totally committed.
Too often, people want they want (or hat they think they want, which is usually “happiness” in one form or another) right now. The irony of their impatience of their impatience is that the only learning to wait and by willingness to accept the bad with the good, do we usually attain those things that are truly worthwhile¸
Just because something is good doesn’t mean we should gorge on it. Like healthy eating, healthy friendships require self-control and moderation.
We need to concentrate not only on finding the right person but more important on becoming the right person.
Love should not be stirred up before its proper time, because the love relationship, unless carefully guarded may cause grief instead of the great joy it should bring to the human heart.
A wedding is an event, but marriage is a state of being. It’s not a one time act; it’s a lifelong commitment to be developed and maintained.
When God knows you’re ready for the responsibility of commitment, He’ll reveal the right the right person under the right circumstances.
We all have our own camels to water – current relationships and responsibilities we can too easily take for granted. If were wise, we’ll see our duties not as unimportant ways to bide our time, but as springboards, launching us into God’s plan and purpose for our future.
Times will come in life when you realize you made a mistake. At the moment you have two choices: You can swallow your pride and pull a few nails, or you can foolishly continue your coarse, hoping the problem will go away. Most of the time the problem will only get worse. When you realize you’ve made a mistake, the best thing you can do is tear down the wall and start over.

You’ll never be perfect of find a perfect mate- we’re all sinners- but only people with an attitude of willing obedience to God’s word will continue to grow in godliness and maturity throughout their lives.

This is one of the beautiful songs we sang in my cousin’s wedding on September 11, 2011. It was taught to us by my uncle Pastor John Villarante before the wedding day. We are the singers and he is the pianist, one of the things which made the wedding perfect..:)

The “What” and “If”

Have you watched the movie “Letters to Juliet”? Its one of the most romantic movies I have watched. Its a story about young American who travels to the city of Verona, home of the star-crossed lover Juliet Capulet of Romeo and Juliet fame, she joins a group of volunteers who respond to letters to Juliet seeking advice about love. After answering one letter dated 1951, she inspires its author to travel to Italy in search of her long-lost love and sets off a chain of events that will bring a love into both their lives unlike anything they ever imagined.

What I like most about it is the respond of Sophie to Claire’s letter to Juliet. I just wanna share the content of that letter because I just find it very romantic and inspiring.

Sophie’s Response to Claire:

“What and If are two words as non threatening as words can be. But put them together side by side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life. What if… What If… What If…

I don’t know how your story ended but if what you felt then was true love then its never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn’t it be true now? You only need the courage to follow your heart. I don’t know what a love like Juliet feels like, a love to leave loved ones for, a love to cross oceans for.. but I’d like to believe, if I ever were to feel it, that I’d have the courage to seize it. And if you didn’t I hope one day that you will.

My Unforgettable Adventures

Its such a great opportunity to be included in the travel bonus given by our boss. Our tour was up to Dahilayan Bukidnon back to Cagayan de Oro City. Dahilayan Adventure Park is such a very nice place. It lies in the mountainous location with greenery and breathtaking views. The air is cool and fresh, the scent of pine trees and fresh flowers is sweet. The first adventure we took at the park was riding on the Asia’s highest zipline. It was really breathtaking!!! You feel like your flying and there you got the freedom to shout out load releasing all your emotions.

After that, we took to ride the ATV. At first, I was hesitant to drove it because I don’t even know how to drive a bike. Toink! All my office mates were moving and I’m the one left. So I had nothing to do but to face that fear. Slowly, I pushed the accelerator and turned the ATV in the direction they are going. Minutes goes by I have learned how to drive it properly though sometimes I had turned the ATV in the wrong direction. Strolling under and over the hills was very fun..! It was such an enjoyable ride!

The second day is in CDO for the Red Raft Water Rafting. It was the most enjoyable adventure I have experienced. We took the Advance Rafting where you have to overcome twenty two rapids. My heart seemed to beat so fast as we started to sail our raft. I thought its scary when you’re in the rapids but when your raft is in to it, all you can feel is the enjoyment and the feeling of courage to face the rapids. I am so much blessed and grateful to experienced it all… Facing all my fears is so much fun!!! These are the adventures I will never forget.^_^

Miss Patra Haradji

One week ago, my mother send me a message that we had a visitor and that she was sleeping in my room. Going home, I was excited and curious to see who was that stranger. When I got home sitting upstairs, she came out from my bedroom and introduced herself. Her name is Patra Haradji, a Muslim from Olotangga. She is one of the DH applicants in Verde Manpower Agency along with my mother. She was very thankful to my mother for letting her stay in our house for six days before she went to Manila. Miss Patra is already 30 years old and still single and I was surprised to know that she has no boyfriend since birth. She is also the eldest of the 10 siblings.

She is so kind and soft spoken. She is caring too and sometimes helped doing household chores. What makes me impress about her is that even though she is an Islam, she always joined in our daily devotion every night.:) In her few days of stay she already consider us as her second family and so we are to her. I hope two years from now when we see each other again, she would still the Patra Haradji I’ve known..^_^
